The Mitchell name will live on in St Andrews for years to come.
Murray Mitchell’s butchers had operated since 1926. Over the years the butchers shop had its fair share of celebrity customers including actress Joanna Lumley as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton when they first met.
The family business closed in 2008 and with George Murray Mitchell's blessing; in 2010 the name was brought back to its former glory with the opening of Mitchell’s Delicatessen.
Mitchell’s are committed to serving the freshest, best, local, Scottish, seasonal produce. Many of the dishes you will enjoy and the ingredients used to create your meal in Mitchell’s Cafe will be available to takeaway from our delicatessen counter.
